List of Adaptive-Sync Monitors- May 2022
There is a lot of confusion over the different terms used to describe adaptive sync technologies. You might see some monitors listed as having *Adaptive Sync* so what does this mean when most monitors are described as having either FreeSync or G-Sync.
Well, FreeSync is actually AMD’s implementation of the Adaptive Sync standard and a manufacturer will have to jump through some additional hoops if they wish to use the FreeSync brand in their marketing. AMD want to ensure that certain standards are met.
So yo use Adaptive-Sync, you’re going to still need an AMD card, this won’t work with Nvidia technology at this time – although as it is an open standard, there is no reason they couldn’t in the future.
