The Acer XF270HU is the FreeSync version of Acer’s XB270HU so you’ll get all the same features included in the Nvidia compatible panel but this one is ready to hook up to an AMD FreeSync graphics card to give you super smooth tear free gaming.
The XF270HU is built for those looking for a game optimised screen and comes with all the features you’d expect from a gaming monitor. It is capable of displaying 144 frames every second and thanks to FreeSync it will always adapt to whatever your graphics card can throw at it. What’s more, this is an IPS based panel so you can expect decent colour reproduction and a solid picture no matter what angle you are viewing the screen from.
It has a 1440p QHD resolution which seems to be the goto screen size for 27″ screens. At this size 4k is overkill but you will appreciate the difference between this and good old 1080p HD. Note that you need a beefier graphics card to keep the frame rates up, especially if you are hoping for 144fps and ultra graphics quality settings. There is a big jump between the GPU power needed to run 1080p and 1440p (let’s not even think about 4k just yet, you’ll need a deep wallet to get that running smoothly at top quality!).
