The Dell S2415H is a 24″ IPS based monitor distinguished by a glossy screen. With a current trend for matt or semi-matt finishes the gloss screens are harder to come by but still definitely popular among those that prefer the finish. Gloss or matt is very much a personal choice so I won’t pretend to tell you which you prefer, both have their own pros and cons. The gloss does look smart, but the reflections do put some off.
Aside from that, this model is an IPS based (using a LG Display LM238WF2-SSE1 panel) display running at 60hz, it doesn’t come with any specific game ready features.
Build Quality

As mentioned, the glossy screen is the dominant feature of this monitor, especially given the minimal surrounding frame. The screen dominates the overall aesthetic. It has an edge to edge design with no glass cover which helps to minimise internal reflection as well as from external light sources. Once switched on the light from the monitor should in theory out compete any reflections to give you a clear image that a matt screen can’t match.
So whilst a glossy screen does mean you have to think carefully about the lighting in your room, it can give superior image results in the long run. Whether this is to your taste or if it will work successfully in your environment will be down to the buyer’s preferences and setup.
The stand is fairly limited for a Dell model, it just offers tilt. But on the plus side it does come with VESA 100 x 100 mounting so you can attach it to an arm. Personally I recommend this and never looked back once mounting my own monitors. The arms made them so easy to position and reclaimed a great deal of desk space.
Connectivity is on the limited side, just VGA and HDMI ports to connect to a graphics card. Audio in, so you can use the speakers with VGA, and a headphone socket.
Performance

Professional testers report back a decent out of the box performance with little calibration needed. The glossy screen and strong contrast give the images a real sense of vibrancy.
Responsiveness measures up well with input delay low enough to not have to worry about. A small degree of blur was picked up in games however but overall performance is improved over previous models in the S range. This monitor is limited to 60hz so overall I don’t think this will appeal to those looking for a gaming screen. Some IPS glow is detectable but nothing beyond what is typical for this technology.

Should I buy the Dell S2415H?
The glossy screen, slim design and barely there bezels make this an attractive looking monitor which provides vibrant colours. The 60hz limit and reported blurring might put off those looking for a game orientated screen but for other purposes this product has plenty of appeal. If you are having some doubts about this purchase then why not read some real owner reviews and see what other buyers think.

Yes, it includes 2×3 W speakers. Having a check of the reviews they are apparently fairly good for monitor speakers, but I have not heard them myself.
Not included on this one, sorry.
