First off, I will disclose that I bought a pair of these for my own home office. They were bought with my own cash after some careful consideration of various alternatives. And I will go on to say that I’m very pleased with the purchase.
The VonHaus monitor arm is designed to hold single monitors from 13″ to 27″ in size with a max weight of 8kg. It is compatible with both 75×75 and 100×100 VESA mounting. It provides +45° -45° tilt, 180° swivel and 360° rotation with an arm extension length of 428mm.
The arms are clamp mounted designed to attached to the lip of your desk. Small sticky pads are provided to help protect the surface of your monitor although I would not ever recommend attaching a desk clamp to your antique bureau. No problem for my Ikea desk though, it attached without problem and remains rock solid.
The arm is easy to setup, it took approximately 20mins to get the monitor setup on the desk with a bit more time to get the cables neat and nicely hidden away using the supplied guides. The instructions recommend having a second person to assist but I was able to hook it up by myself without much problem. Clamp on the stand first and then fix the arm to the monitor, then slide the arm on and fasten tight with the provided allen key. My monitors are fairly light though so perhaps a heavier screen will need two people to avoid accidental damage. Don’t try to move the clamp with the monitor in place by yourself, this is not a good idea! Either detach the arm, or get a second person to support the monitor’s weight.
Cable management is effective with guides along the arm and down the stand to keep the cables hidden away. For once my desk actually looks fairly tidy!
The arm is highly maneuverable, I love the way it can pull forward when I’m not sat at my desk and need a clearer view. It it easy to tilt and pivot. The only downside is the height adjustment which requires the allen key, and with heavier monitors you really need two people to do this safely. Not a big deal though, I have yet to feel the need to change the height after my initial setup.

It was my feeling that two arms would be more flexible. I would be free to position them anywhere along my desk ensuring that I can put my monitors anywhere I wished. If I end up with ultra wide monitors in the future, these should still work assuming I’m within the weight limit.
I have no experience with a dual monitor arm so perhaps they are equally easy to setup, I don’t know, but putting a pair of these on my desk gave me exactly what I wanted.
